Me, in a nutshell.
Hello there!
I’m Polly, and my journey in marketing and business growth is just about as global and diverse as it gets. A long time ago (yes, in a galaxy far, far away), I graduated from the University of Southern California with degrees in International Relations and French. Those studies led to a deep and abiding love affair with what we now know as Behavioural Economics, and my work is largely based on all the crazy and irrational reasons consumers engage with brands.
Launching my first venture at 25 (25 years ago!), I learned to navigate the business world as an expat, a new mom, and an entrepreneur, all at once. The internet was my portal to the world, and somewhere between Napster playlists and early online forums, I discovered the power of the internet to connect, engage, and grow businesses.
My business-building adventures have been rich and rewarding, founding or co-founding four successful companies over the years, with acquisitions along the way. My journey has allowed me to work with various industries – health, law, travel, lifestyle – and has led me to a special place in the wine industry with 5forests. Each step has taught me invaluable lessons about what it truly means to understand and connect with customers. I believe in the magic of empathy to build lasting, meaningful relationships.
When I’m not deep in marketing strategies, you can find me behind the mic, hosting my podcast. It’s here that my love for people and pop culture shines through, bringing a twist of fun and relatability to every episode. My presentations often reflect this side of me too – a blend of professional insights with a pop-culture flair.
Away from work, my world revolves around my two wonderful daughters, my husband – the rock in my life for over 25 years – and our cozy home in Barcelona with three cats and Steve, my loyal miniature teckel (doesn’t he look handsome?).
Hmmm, what else?
- I can create a Star Wars analogy for any marketing principle.
- Safe bet I’ll drop the f bomb in a presentation.
- I’m known in Italy as the girl who did the Paqui One Chip Challenge live at a conference…now there’s a legacy.
- I can’t tell a joke to save my soul: I always fuck up the punchline.
- I can knit damn near anything.
Mom, wife, Trojan, Buddhist. That’s me, in a nutshell.
